Let's see. I'm currently Head of Media studies and Quality Nominee for my school. My daughters are currently 8 and a half and five. My step children are 28, 26 and 20. The eldest two have left home and the youngest step child is at University. Television wise, I enjoy watching Doctor Who, The Last Kingdom, Constantine, Supernatural, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Sherlock,  Elementary, Sherlock Holmes starring Jeremy Brett, Fringe, Breaking Bad and Better call Saul to mention a few. This is not necessarily an exhaustive list. I enjoy Audiobooks and audionplays. I'm a big fan of Big Finish productions. From their Doctor who range, I enjoy the 8th, 6th and 4th Doctor stories the most but have enjoyed stories featuring the other Doctors too. I adore the Jago and Litefoot range and have started listening to the Dark Shadows range too. I like the sound of the Cicero range and enjoyed the actor in Dirk Gently so will probably buy them too. Whilst Big Finish are the market leaders in Cult audios, there are other good audio companies too. Spiteful Puppet have been releasing some vey good Robin Hood audios which I recommend particularly Sanctuary. I'm also a member of Audible and thoroughly enjoyed listening to the Sherlock Holmes collection read by Stephen Fry. Music wise, I've been listening to  a lot of Grateful Dead and have been exploring the Jazz funk hybrid explosion of the early 1970s in particular Miles Davis and Lalo Schiffren. In terms of hobbies my primary hobby in the last few weeks has been writing: I'm half way through writing a 35 minute audio play; writing short stories for the under 5s and writing a trilogy of fantasy stories for young adult readers. Everything is at an early stage at the moment but am enjoying the creative output I'm currently in the middle of. I aim to make good progress on these plans this summer. Hopefully, Creative writing updates will follow soon.

Personally, I was really impressed by this film and found it impressive. However my step son and daughter hated it and thought it was really lame. I found it gripping particularly when the monster first hit New York. This is what I wrote in a review for flickster movies on my facebook account. My step-son found the whole idea preposterous and complained that it was Blair witch meets Godzilla. At this point I had to point out that was the point of the film. To be fair on him, I think his argument that they should have just got out when the big monster thingy started bashing the army was a logical one. Dead or Alive!

Spoiler alert: contains comments on Dead Man walking. After the initial shock of seeing Owen die last week, I immediately expected him to be fully resurrected the following week. Okay strictly speaking this does not happen. It would appear that by the end of the episode that Owen on a half life form will be about for a while longer. In a way this raises an interesting and intriguing question: what is life? If you cannot do the things you normally take for granted, how would you react?. The teaser for the following episode appears to attempt to answer that question. However, back to Dead man walking. Jack rather predictably jeapordises the future of everyone for the sake of a friend. With some characters I would expect that to happen but somebody who has seen the consequences of time travel and the actions of others would surely resist the temptation? My initial thoughts on partners in crime as posted on various sites

A selection of reviews I have written for partners in crime- this is followed by the review I have written for my blog after some further reflection: A promising start. I enjoyed the comedic moments between the Doctor and Donna. My family and I enjoyed it all the way through. I was unsure about the Adipose at first when I saw a clip the other day but they worked well when I saw them in the context of the episode. A good light hearted start. Loved the Rose sequence at the end which elicited gasps of surprise from my youngest step daughter. Yeah Tate was pretty good.
