Here is a cross section of some of the comments I have posted in the Doctor Who forum relating to the final three episodes of Torchwood season two. Adrift: Enjoyed that episode- seemed to highlight to me that being the leader of Torchwood is fraught with difficult decisions. I liked the ending: not everything in life can be resolved happily. I think the episode was highlighting that sometimes there are no easy answers and being a leader in an organisation such as Torchwood is littered with tough decisions to make. I don't think the answer to what the right course of action to take on this issue is an easy one: parents need to know what happens to their children when they disappear but sometimes the knowledge of what happened could be soul destroying. Blade Runner 2049: My own reflections.

Blade runner was a film I first saw in the mid eighties, My Dad had recorded it from the TV using an old VHS tape. The film rapidly became a favourite film of mine and I watched it several times. Indeed I watched it so many times, there was a time when I could no longer watch it as I was overfamiliar with the film. Around five or six years ago I bought the box set with several editions of the film and showed them to my wife and step son. Around a year ago I first heard plans for Blade Runner 2049. I was sceptical at first: the first film, I believed, ended perfectly: the ambiguity left one to figure out what happened next and I didn't like the idea of my own imagination being trumped by a sequel. It seemed that the usual complaint of a dearth of new ideas in Hollywood addicted to recycling and churning out old tried and tested ideas was being reaffirmed by the creation of this sequel. 2003-2004 writing course. One of my pieces of writing from when I was in my early 30s.

Causes and consequences by Mark Richardson. It's now Spring 2020. Reading the last paragraph made me chuckle. Still unpublished. To be expected when all I managed to write between 2004 and 2017 was one short story. Sandon High school, Meir, Stoke-on-Trent during late October 1996. Whilst Blur and Oasis battled for our minds and souls in the charts, a very different type of battle was occurring in a History classroom in the above-mentioned school: a battle whose consequences have and continue to ripple through time and space. At the time of writing this autobiographical piece, I have had experience of teaching History, English and Media studies. I have worked in a total of fifteen schools as a supply teacher, three of them as a long term cover teacher and finally as a full-time teacher of English and Media studies at Bluecoat comprehensive school.
